“London needs leaders who are ready to deliver a better future for people and nature,” say campaigners.

Current and hopeful council candidates for the May 2026 borough elections are being asked to adopt ten commitments specifically designed to improve London by members of the More Natural Capital Coalition, including London Parks and Gardens.

London Parks and Gardens’ Interim Director Tim Webb says: “The ten environmental pledges set out practical actions which election candidates can adopt to protect nature, improve access to green and blue space, and deliver real environmental benefits for local communities.”
